The split-ring resonator antenna, also called the Lakhovsky antenna, is the radiating element of the Multiwave Oscillator. We hand-build replicas in which each of the twelve concentric split rings has the dimensions of the historical BV2: copper, brass and aluminium rings from 500 mm down to 17 mm (centre line), held in concentric position by four twisted ribbons and supplied with lockable pivot joints. Every RT17 replica set includes two antennas, and they are also available separately, for example, to complete or replace an existing installation.
Not the Lakhovsky coil (used in electroculture)
The term Lakhovsky coil is also used for a single open copper ring placed around a plant, inspired by Lakhovsky’s experiments with geraniums in the 1920s. The Multiwave Oscillator antenna is different: twelve tuned multi-metal resonators that radiate the oscillator’s broadband signal. If you are looking for Lakhovsky’s electroculture coil, this isn’t it. If you need an MWO antenna, you are in the right place.

Description
The largest split-ring resonator has a diameter of 500 mm (centre line), while the smallest one has a diameter of 17 mm. The twelve split rings are held in concentric position by four twisted ribbons. Each antenna is mounted on lockable pivot joints, so it can be tilted from vertical down, through horizontal, to vertical up.
Price and compatibility
The antennas are priced on request. They are compatible with RT17 replicas of the BV2 in both versions.
